Immigration DNA Testing is a specialized DNA test used to prove a biological relationship between a U.S. citizen or permanent resident and a relative who is applying for a visa or citizenship through family-based immigration. It is often requested by the U.S. Embassy, USCIS, or immigration attorneys when official documents are missing, insufficient, or questioned.

When paper records like birth certificates or family documents are not enough to establish the claimed relationship, DNA testing provides scientific evidence that can confirm or deny biological ties between:

How It Works

  1. Referral
    USCIS or an immigration office may recommend DNA testing. You select an accredited lab and certified collector (like Elite Mobile Lab Co.) to begin the process.

  2. Sample Collection in the U.S.
    We perform a painless cheek swab on the petitioner (U.S. resident) at their home, office, or our lab partner’s location.

  3. Sample Collection Abroad
    The U.S. Embassy in the applicant’s country arranges the overseas collection. The sample is sent directly to the accredited lab from the embassy.

  4. Lab Analysis & Results
    Once both samples are received, the lab conducts the test and sends results directly to the requesting government agency.

Immigration DNA testing must follow a strict legal process. All collections must be performed by certified professionals, and samples must be shipped directly from the collection site to the lab. Home DNA kits are not accepted for immigration purposes.
